Workshop Outline

 

Among other things, children will learn:

• Introduction to character and characterisation

• How to plot your story

• Importance of pacing

• Writing about issues that matter to you

• Basic character design and illustration

• Basic storyboarding

 

These workshops also aim to nurture:

 

• A love for creative expression

• Creative thinking and writing

• Narrative and storytelling skills

• Critical thinking skills

• Self-exploration

• Visualisation techniques

• Basic illustration techniques

 

As an optional extra, participants can opt to have their work professionally laid out and printed in a full-colour picture book. The book will be ISBN registered with the child’s name.
